Recently, HGTECH and Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Wuhu Shipyard') have officially launched the construction of the 'Weihai Base Cutting and Processing Workshop Automation Production Line' project. This marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration focused on enhancing production line automation and logistics intelligence
Wuhu Shipyard is a leading modern shipbuilding enterprise in China, renowned for its formidable technical capabilities and extensive shipbuilding experience. It has achieved numerous 'firsts' in the Chinese shipbuilding industry and maintains a century-long reputation for shipbuilding excellence. In recent years, with the significant growth in China's automotive export volume and the booming international automotive transport ship market, Wuhu Shipyard plans to establish the Wuhu Weihai Green Marine Technology Industrial Base in Weihai. This initiative aims to address bottlenecks in automotive export shipping. The project involves a total investment of 3 billion RMB (approximately 300 million USD). Once implemented, the base will mass-produce 7,000-car capacity PCTC (pure car and truck carrier) ro/ro ships and Panamax bulk carriers up to 80,000 tons in Weihai. It is anticipated that the annual production value could reach 5 billion RMB (approximately 500 million USD) once in full production
HGTECH's undertaking of the 'Weihai Base Cutting and Material Processing Workshop Automated Production Line' project involves innovative research and development in the shipbuilding industry process information analysis, ink-jet marking, bevel cutting, Chamfering, semi-finished product automated logistics, and other specialized processes. It achieves comprehensive automation integration from nesting part analysis, steel plate marking, automatic cutting, sorting, beveling, chamfering, to automated stacking with in-line buffering in logistics. The intelligent production line includes intelligent trolley, AGVs, roller kiln, plate chains, leveling machines, cutting machines, robotic beveling machines, visual sorting systems, and automatic loading and unloading devices. It also incorporates essential environmental protection measures such as dust removal systems and cutting waste collection devices. The layout and planning are tailored to the segmented manufacturing characteristics of the shipbuilding industry, suitable for producing various types of vessels such as bulk carriers, MR tankers, and PCTC ships.
