The “research and application of key technologies of optical anti-counterfeiting and machine-readable identification” jointly declared by HG Image and Huazhong University of Science and Technology won the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Hubei Province in 2019!
As the saying goes, where there is sunshine, there is darkness. With the rapid development of China’s economy, the manufacturing and selling of counterfeit goods has also come into being. In order to gain profits, various means of making fake goods are impossible to prevent effectively, which seriously threaten the national public security and the healthy development of the market. Optical anti-counterfeiting and machine-readable counterfeit detection technology are one of the important means of “Anti-counterfeiting”. For a long time, there are some problems in the field of high reliable optical anti-counterfeiting in China, such as the lack of optical encryption technology and the core technology of complete set of production process, the core technology of optical machine reading and identification of anti-counterfeiting bills is in urgent need of breakthrough, and the modules and devices have been relying on imports for a long time. In this regard, after 12 years of joint research on “production, teaching, research and application”, relying on the anti-counterfeiting engineering technology research center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, HG Image has achieved a major breakthrough in optical anti-counterfeiting encryption technology, core technology of complete set production process of anti-counterfeiting identification, key technology of machine-readable anti-counterfeiting bills and core equipment development, and has formed large-scale industrial application, and many achievements have achieved originality.
All along, anti-counterfeiting is a cycle of game process. Technology needs constant innovation and upgrading to cope with the endless stream of fake and shoddy products. In the development process, the project members of the company innovatively proposed the calculation method of multi curve grating encryption, which increased the nonlinear complexity of grating encryption, realized the 3D continuous dynamic optical encryption effect, and solved the problem of easy imitation of traditional optical anti-counterfeiting, and became the industry’s first. In addition, we also developed a high-precision customized curve grating structure of anti-counterfeiting master plate preparation technology, and formed a new set of optical anti-counterfeiting identification production process, realized multiple anti-counterfeiting composite, significantly increased the technical difficulty of copying, broke through the lithography precision limit in the field of packaging anti-counterfeiting, and the pattern transfer integrity rate could reach more than 98%.
At present, the project achievements have been widely used in many industries, such as finance, license card, tobacco and alcohol, medicine, daily chemical, etc., serving the major national projects such as RMB, license, tax, Olympic and Expo tickets. It is said that the HG Image has provided high-quality optical anti-counterfeiting solutions for many banks and tobacco companies. Its products have novel and unique optical effect, strong anti-counterfeiting function, stable performance and excellent wear resistance, which can be compared with foreign industry leading products, and meet the requirements of high security, authenticity and non duplication of UnionPay cards, POS machines and other financial products. In addition, these products also protect a large number of personal information carried on the card, effectively improve the security coefficient of the card, put an end to the phenomenon of card counterfeiting, and ensure the security of card information, so as to help customers effectively improve product profits and market competitiveness.
